Eco-Morph Shelf System

Name: Eco-Morph Shelf System

Client/Project: Disaster Relief School Furnishing, Jackie Chan Foundation

Material: Polycarbonate(RPC) Extrusions and Recycled Aluminum Joint

The Eco-Morph shelf system is a showcase in modularity through joinery.

Its joint system enables multiple configurations dictated by the user, made possible by alternating shelf board lengths and placement of joints. Any desired amount of rows and layers can be constructed together, allowing for total creativity and artistry of assembly. The joints themselves come in two shape varieties and can be anodized in any desired color.

The Polycarbonate(PC) boards, a heavy duty and extremely strong material derived from DVDs, can be interchanged with any type of material of a 10 mm thickness. Between the joints, LED lights can be mounted for lighting and aesthetic effects.

This ultra-efficient flack pack system of parts can create triangular and hexagonal patterns, even within the same installation. The shape can morph and bend, just as the name suggests.
